এক পূর্ণিমার রাতে অন্য 'নক্ষত্র লোকের' এক বিশাল আকার রুপোলী উড়ন্ত যান প্রবেশ করলো পৃথিবীর বায়ুমণ্ডলে,ওটার শক্তি ছিল মানুষের কল্পনাতীত । ভিতরে ছিল উদ্ভট একপ্রকার জীব, আধা মানুষ আধা পিশাচ,মাথায় সিং , চেয়ে ছিল এই দুনিয়া টা জয় করতে......ঘটনাচক্রে পরীক্ষা করার জন্য দুনিয়ায় এত লোক থাকতে বাছল তারা বেতাল কে ...।

ReplyDeleteThanks for all those Mayukh Choudhary, Narayan Debnath & Tushar Chetergee etc Collection. I recall back that i use to buy those books when i was a School boy even though i am not Bengali :)
But i will vote for Tushar Chetergee as the Best of the 3. Debnath & Choudhary sometimes/mostly steps out of originality, but good old Tusher always sticks to his cent percent Original creations. It was him who should be awarded in Bengal, not Narayan Debnath.,,,

DeleteI beg to differ...it is well known that many prominent works of both NS/MC were heavily "inspired" however they had their original creations as well and if we consider the quality of these comics with TC's creations then NS/MC are miles ahead :-)
However the above is my personal opinion and not meant to hurt your feelings, in fact I am quite fond of TC myself :-) Regarding awards/govt recognition etc. there are several factors involved so personally I am not much bothered about who gets what :-)

I often wonders that why those famous Artists goes after stealing/coping/etc etc other's artworks or creations, while they could sow their own, it just doesn't sound right when u find it out.
Someone wise once said "Young Artist Creates, Old Artists Steals" this could be it..
As to mention a few, I see a lots of "Iron Claws, Black Fury etc etc" in MC's work, while a lots of Disney & Wonder Weekly's boy & tiger as well as chop chop the karate king in Batul-the-great.
But TC, he stands differently when i see his artworks, i fell like being in Bengal. A bright knowledge of Local Anthopology he use, and that's what the world wants in artworks (like those ACK artworks)....
I believe in many place of their creation, ND & MC exceeded the level of being "just inspired".
